A Retrospective Gala

Watch this stunning evening of dance, music and celebration on-demand until Sunday May 8! The performance features hosts Nicole Rose Bond, Eda Holmes, and Robert Sirman; musicians Younggun Kim, Beverley Johnston and Andrew Burashko; solo dancers Nova Bhattacharya, Sarah Fregeau, Kate Holden, Benjamin Kamino, Kathrine Semchuk and Peggy Baker; and the ensemble of who we are in the dark.
Following Peggy’s announcement that she will wind-down her company at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, this was the penultimate presentation for the company in Toronto, and the final that features Peggy's own choreography.
Proceeds raised from the Gala will be directed towards an endowment for the new Peggy Baker Prize for Performance at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre; the Creation Catalogue, a comprehensive online archive of the company’s 30+ years of work; and Peggy Baker Dance Projects’ final production, a new commissioned play about the dance world called Beautiful Renegades which will premiere in September 2022.
