Jenny holds a degree in Psychology and Political science from McMaster, an MA in Dance History from York, a B.Ed from OISE U of T, and has an extensive background in creating and managing projects in dance, circus, rhythmic gymnastics, public installation art, education and public engagement.
Having produced and directed her own works in dance, circus and site specific performance, Jenny’s most notable work in community engagement and project management have been with multi-disciplinary artist Thom Sokoloski. Selected works include The Encampment, (2006, 2007, 2008, 2012) The Scarecrows (2012, 2013) and Colour of the River Running Through Us (2015). Partners and stakeholders she worked with for these projects include Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Luminato Festival, Old Fort York, Doors Open New York, Socrates Sculpture Park (NYC), The National Capital Commission, The Canadian Association of Community Living and Art Toronto.
In Australia, Berlin, New York City, and across Canada, Jenny has worked with and engaged over 1000 individuals including schools, community groups, organizations, festivals and artists. She continues her work as the National Education Coordinator of the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Incubator Program currently in schools and communities across Canada and in partnership with Exposure (Calgary) and Capture (Vancouver) Photography Festivals.
