Mateo Galindo-Torres

Originally from Colombia, Mateo Galindo Torres started his training at Petipa, Escuela de Danza and has studied at the Omaha Theater Ballet (USA) and Pro Danza (Cuba). While in Cuba, he joined Neo Tango as a dancer and choreographer. In 2010, he performed with the Ballet de Barranquilla and travelled to Canada to join The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, where he performed for choreographers Marc Boivin, Peter Chin, Jennifer Dallas, Danny Grossman, Christopher House, Allen Kaeja, Louis Laberge-Cote, Sharon B. Moore, Tedd Robinson, Julia Sasso, Heidi Strauss, and Darryl Tracy. In 2011, he attended the ProArte Danza Summer Intensive, working with Roberto Campanella and Robert Glumbek; joined Typecast Company, performing works by Pamela Rasbach; and performed with Dilan Dance Company in a work by Fethi Karakecili. In 2012, he performed for Kokus Productions, Cadence Bridges Ballet in a piece by Kunal Ranchod, and 3 is Company in a piece by Hanna Kiel. In 2013, he had the opportunity to perform with Frog in Hand, Jacob Niedzwiecki, and Toronto Heritage Dance. For Peggy Baker Dance Projects, Mateo was in the original cast of stone leaf shell skin and The Perfect Word.
