Syreeta Hector

Syreeta Hector is a dance artist and educator in Toronto, Ontario. As a highly accomplished performer, Syreeta has worked for internationally recognized companies like Adelheid Dance Projects, Citadel + Compagnie, and Toronto Dance Theatre. She has collaborated with artists like Sook-Yin Lee, Deborah Hay, and Fauxhemian Films. She is a proud graduate of The National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and has achieved her Master of Arts in Dance Studies from York University. As a recipient of numerous arts council grants, Syreeta has been fortunate enough to continue her studies in movement, choreography, and education by extensively studying in New York City. In addition to collaborating and creating on numerous dance projects, Syreeta is a contract faculty member at York University. Here, she teaches modern dance technique within the undergraduate program.
